This is a keyboard option in computers. Remark your keyboard and try it. There are actually programs to help you learn to type with it on the web. It is said that 200 WPM is possible. I have been using it since 1995.keyboard
Indeed, typing in Dvorak is easier, faster, and is less stressful to the wrists and fingers. I used to type Qwerty 6 months ago, before I found the time to switch. I went from 85 WPM avg, 120 WPM sprint, to almost 100 WPM avg (soon to be over that). Best of all, you make fewer mistakes.
The time of Qwerty died with typewriters, so why continue using it?
.. I personally don't like DVORAK. I'm comfortable with a regular qwerty layout. To each his own man. I'm capable of hitting averages of 140+, sprint for 200's.. I don't know why so many people get pain in their wrists and fingers, it's possible they're positioning themselves awkwardly, or keeping their hands/fingers to tense while they type.
Posture and hand tension are really important. I've found that keeping my hands as relaxed as I can, while I rest my palms on the flat on the keyboard really helps me out a lot.
Dvorak Keyboard prevents this problem
